Authors Keep 100% of Sales as Curios Adds Self-Publishing for Ebooks and Audiobooks

Curios has expanded its direct-to-fan platform to authors, adding self-publishing for ebooks and audiobooks. The platform, already known for letting creators list and sell digital works such as music directly to fans, now extends the same model to writers.

Curios' direct model passes 100% of sales revenue to creators and gives them unrestricted access to their audience information, in contrast to third-party platforms that take a large percentage of every sale. That structure means creators keep complete control over their work and their customer relationships. With this expansion, authors get the same benefits other creators have had, without navigating the programming, setup, or security concerns usually associated with digital publishing.

Willow Winters joins the platform

To mark the launch of the new vertical, Curios welcomed bestselling romance novelist Willow Winters. Known for her engaging storytelling and dedicated fanbase, Winters is debuting her latest novel, The Beast & The Beauty, on Curios. All of her past works are available on the platform as well, free for the first week. Beyond that first week, she is selling her audiobooks for $1, roughly a 90% discount to her readership, made possible by the economics of direct sales.

The expansion continues Curios' push to give creators and authors a platform for true self-publishing, removing barriers and building direct connections between creators and the audiences who support them.
