Why Curios has a free plan
Curios is here to make direct sales attainable for everyone, and that starts with our plans. We have a strong free tier so that anyone at any stage can afford to sell direct and create real foundational growth for their creator business.
This plan offers valuable tools so you can see what happens when you start making 100% of your sales and growing your customer base. There is no time limit for how long you can be on the Trial plan.
We think it's important for creators to have tools like this for free. To keep it going and available, if you can afford a plan, we ask that you consider one. Even the Lite plan goes a long way to supporting Curios and allowing us to offer a free tier for a long while to come.
The free plan does have some limits, but they are designed to only come in after you have made some money from direct sales, so a plan should be easy to afford when the time comes.

How you get paid
Your first 25 sales are all yours. After that, a small fee applies until you move to a paid plan.
Keep 100% of your first 25 sales
On your first 25 sales, the price you set is the price you earn. Buyers pay the checkout fees, plus any sales tax and shipping.
Then 15% + $0.25 per sale
After your first 25 sales, Curios takes 15% plus $0.25 per sale. On any paid plan, you keep 100% of your list price on every sale.
Monthly payouts
Trial payouts run once a month. Paid plans make payouts automatic, and Plus and Pro pay out weekly.
Payment processing, taxes, shipping and other fees apply per sale.

Questions about Trial
Is there a time limit on Trial?
No. You can stay on Trial for as long as you like.
Do I need a credit card?
No. Sign up at studio.curios.com with your email, or with Google or Apple.
What happens after my first 25 sales?
You keep selling, and Curios takes 15% plus $0.25 per sale. Move to any paid plan and you're back to keeping 100% of your list price on every sale.
When does Lite pay for itself?
Once you're past 25 sales, a $10 sale on Trial costs you $1.75 in fees. Six of those a month is more than Lite's $9, and on Lite you keep the full $10.
Can I send ARC copies on Trial?
Private (unlisted) products need a paid plan, so private ARC links start on Lite. Trial includes 25 free claims in total for public lead magnets and giveaways.
Why do you ask me to upgrade if I don't have to?
Because subscriptions are what keep the free plan possible. If you can afford a plan, even Lite at $9 a month, it helps us keep offering Trial to every creator who needs it.
