This tutorial will walk you through how to create and list an ebook or audiobook bundle or box set on Curios.
Bundles and Box Sets are similar and will be used interchangeably in this tutorial. A box set is usually all books within one series, while a Bundle is a collection of books. Bundles can be cross series or all encompassing.
Login to studio.curios.com and click "+ Publish" in the left hand menu then select Book
You will need to add a cover image for the box set or bundle, a title and a description.
The title should include the words Bundle or Box Set to help the buyer have absolute clarity.
The description should include the contents of the bundle or set i.e. Bundle includes 10 ebooks containing Sample Book 1, Sample Book 2, etc.
Curios is very flexible so there are many ways you can do this.
For Ebooks:
Some authors have box sets already compiled into one epub file, other authors just upload each epub file for the series.
For audiobooks, feel free to upload all mp3 files as one giant collection. Book 1 will just continue playing into book 2 etc.
Most importantly this is the area you will add all the files that are included in the bundle or box set. If you are including 10 ebooks, there should either be 10 epub files or one epub file with all 10 books in it or some combination of that.
Here is an example with multiple epub files.
Here is an example with one epub that contains all three books of this example bundle/box set.
For ebooks, both examples would work. Just to reiterate this is the section that you will need to upload any files you would like the buyer of this bundle or box set to have.
For audiobooks it may looks something like this
Here you will upload any preview files for the bundle or box set.
For any ebooks, we automatically generate a preview file that you can replace or add on to if needed.
For audiobooks it would be a good idea to make sure the sample include examples of all narration in the bundle or box set.
For the price you have two options, Buy Now and Free (Claim)
If you select Buy Now, you can set both a "Buy Now" price and a "Retail" price.
The buy now price is the exact amount of money you will receive for each sale on Curios. The retail price allows you to run a "sale" and show a discount to your bundle/box set.
Additionally you are also able to add any collaborators, like narrators, and co-authors as well as an genre and sub genre information for your bundle or box set
Next for you will set your permissions for the bundle or box set.
Setting a release date of "Available Now" places the bundle/box set live on Curios as soon as you hit the green "Publish" button
The "Not Downloadable" button specifies if the book is downloadable or not.
Note: Downloadability is not required. Your readers/listeners can always access their content on Curios via the website or the app and on any of our partner apps like Kindle, Bookfunnel, Kobo, and Nook.
Finally, you can either add another item to your series or save draft or publish the book live on the Curios marketplace.
Visit the Curios pages for each item uploaded and check to be sure all information was entered correctly. You can access your links in the dashboard on studio.curios.com
You can always update or change any information associated with this bundle or box set in the studio.
Additionally if you want to include the box set on a series page, please follow the instructions on studio.curios.com/tutorials/upload-book-series and have the box set be the last item in the series.
