This tutorial will walk your through how to upload your books as a Series in Curios. If your books are serialized, it is best to upload them as a series as it gives Curios the ability to correctly recommend reading order and guide readers along to the correct next book.
Login to studio.curios.com and click "+ Publish" in the left hand menu.
Note: Book is the right selection for both Ebooks and Audiobooks
Here you will add the series title, description, and a cover image for the series.
You will need to add a cover image for the first book, a title and a description.
In this example I am uploading an audiobook so I have added audiobook files. If this were an ebook I would add an epub file to this location.
Note: the tracker on the left side will help you keep track of what book you are uploading
Any files that you upload will automatically show in the list below. Please check to make sure the order is correct and that you are not missing any chapters. These files can be dragged around if you need to change the order.
Here you will upload any preview files for the book. Since this is an audiobook I will be uploading the retail sample file to give listeners a good understanding of the narrator's voice.
For any ebooks, we automatically generate a preview file that you can replace or add on to if needed.
For the price you have two options, Buy Now and Free (Claim)
If you select Buy Now, you can set both a "Buy Now" price and a "Retail" price.
The buy now price is the exact amount of money you will receive for each sale on Curios. The retail price allows you to run a "sale" and show a discount to your book.
On this step you are also able to add any collaborators, like narrators, and co-authors as well as an genre and sub genre information for your book
Next for book 1 you will set your permissions
Setting a release date of "Available Now" places the book live on Curios as soon as you hit the green "Publish" button
The "Not Downloadable" button specifies if the book is downloadable or not.
Note: Downloadability is not required. Your readers/listeners can always access their content on Curios via the website or the app and on any of our partner apps like Kindle, Bookfunnel, Kobo, and Nook.
Finally, you can either add another item to your series or save draft or publish the book live on the Curios marketplace.
Once you have all the books for your series, click on either Save Draft to review all books on the Series detail page or you can click Review and Publish to put the series live on the Curios marketplace.
Reminder, you are always in control on Curios, so if you do go live and realize you need to change something you always have that ability in the studio.
Special note: While you are uploading all the books in your series, you will be able to keep track of what book you are on using the right hand side tracker. In addition you can click on any of the items on this tracker to jump back some steps.
Visit the Curios pages for each item uploaded and check to be sure all information was entered correctly. You can access your links in the dashboard on studio.curios.com
Additionally visit the series detail page for this series on studio.curios.com by clicking on the book in your dashboard. This will display all information uploaded.
Make special care to ensure the books are ordered correctly and all epub or mp3 files are uploaded correctly.
